EZ Objects Library Installation..

August 5, 2006

Many scenery designers are now using Abacus EZ Scenery to enhance the FS2004 default airports...The end user must build an EZ Objects Library in most cases
to see these enhanced objects...

This is an attempt to put into one Addon scenery folder all the EZ Objects availible for use with Abacus EZ-Scenery. I have provided a list of all of the downloaded files I have used... I am sure that I have missed a few...
Many thanks to all the designers who built these original files... They will go un-named..
These files are all availible at AVSIM or Flightsim..

To make it easer to upload and download I have divided all the files into four
zip files..They are

EZOBJbgl.zip which contains all the *.bgl, *,xml and *.txt files
EZTEXT-1.zip, EZTEXT-2.zip and EZTEXT-3.zip which contain all the texture *.bmp files...

Proceed at your own risk.....I'll be glad to help if I can...

Installation...........

1. Create a folder named EZ Objects Library in your FS2004 Addon Scenery folder.

2. In the EZ Objects Library folder create two sub-folders...name them Scenery and Texture

Path: Flight Simulator 9
Addon Scenery
EZ Objects Library
Scenery
Texture

3. Unzip EZOBJbgl.zip to a temp folder... This will create an EZ-Objects_BGLs folder.
This will have a scenery sub-folder...containing all the files..
You can copy the scenery folder to your Addon Scenery/EZ Objects Library folder and overwrite the empty scenery folder.... or extract all the bgl, xml and txt files and copy them to the Addon Scenery/EZ Objects Library/scenery folder...manually

4. Unzip EZTEXT-1.zip, EZTEXT-2.zip and EZTEXT-3.zip to a temp folder..
This will create an EZ-Objects_textures-1, and -2, and -2 folders..They will have a sub-folder which will contain the texture *.BMP files..

5. As with the above files.. You want to copy and paste all the *.bmp files to your Addon scenery/EZ Objects Library/texture folder...

6. Open FS2004 and go to the Settings / Scenery Library / Add Area and add EZ Objects Library as you would add any other scenery...

7. If you already have an EZ-Objects library folder.. you may want to delete it as this may be more complete... or overwrite your existing folder..
Your choice...

8. Open FS2004 and the files will build..

Now go fly your favorite EZ airport...
